Chrome OS has a good chance of failing
5) Expensive wireless plans: When Wi-Fi networks aren't available, Chrome OS laptops will have to connect to 3G networks, and the plans are ridiculously expensive. Google may believe that with Chrome OS it is providing a free operating system, but the cost of services like communication and printing will ultimately put a hole in the pocket.
6) Browser user interface: Is the world ready for a browser interface? I still need my user interface -- be it the sloppy Linpus or slick Ubuntu interface. I'm using the browser a lot more, but it may take a long time for the local desktop to make way for a browser desktop.
For the sake of free operating systems, I hope Google succeeds with Chrome OS. It will be a watershed moment not only for the Linux community, but also free operating systems.
