Microsoft also sued HTC as part of the lawsuit. HTC is almost exclusively Android, and one of the largest phone makers. It's almost certain now that HTC won't partner with Microsoft in the near term. But Android backers such as Samsung and others may also be watching this clearly, and may be weary in dealing with Microsoft going ahead.
