GnomeMeeting 0.9 released

Linux backers' common specification faces challenge
At least one leading Linux distribution - Red Hat - does not conform to LSB 1.0. Furthermore, it is unclear whether Research Triangle Park, North Carolina-based Red Hat Inc will - or should - conform to LSB as its Linux distribution effectively becomes a de-facto standard through its growing customer base.
Slackware 8.0 released!
This is a major upgrade, affecting almost all the packages in the distribution. Updates include XFree86 4.1.0, Linux kernels 2.2.19 and 2.4.5, KDE 2.1.2, GNOME 1.4, glibc 2.2.3, and all the usual utilities. Additions include ProFTPD, OpenSSH and OpenSSL, mod_ssl and mod_php, full support for the 2.4 kernel series, and many more.
Linux Standard Base specification 1.0.0 out
The final 1 point oh release of the LSB is here. The Linux Standard Base (LSB) defines a system interface for compiled applications and a minimal environment for support of installation scripts. Its purpose is to enable a uniform industry standard environment for high-volume applications conforming to the LSB.
